Don't leave your child alone with the war
Many refugees from war zones initially find children difficult to deal with. Initially, settling in a new place, finding work and housing, and other practical matters seem to be the most pressing concerns. In fact, children suffer the most because they haven’t yet developed the coping mechanisms necessary to deal with the horrors of war.
